Maintain communication about where your company is headed 

When employees are working in the same office with one another, communication happens more organically than when working remotely. It’s easy to get a sense of where the company is headed and the key challenges faced when you’re chatting with coworkers from other departments over lunch or catching up at the water-cooler.
